What Mums Really Want For Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is just a few days away, so children are likely to be panicking about what cards, chocolates and wine to get their mum to celebrate. However, recent research revealed what mums really want for Mother’s Day this year.
According to a poll conducted by Red Letter Days, the most popular thing mums want is quality time with their kids, with nearly half (45 per cent) hoping for this.
While it may sound easy enough, many mums of adult children won’t get their wish, as their kids have moved away and do not live near them.
Christine Ducker, senior PR and communications manager at Red Letter Days, said: “Sometimes the best presents are the simplest, and we need to prioritise time with our mums.”
Of course, for those who live hours away from their parents or can’t split the day between their own mum and their mother-in-law due to distance, the second-best thing to give is flowers.
According to the survey, 15 per cent of mums would like to receive flowers on Sunday March 18th this year.
To make your bouquet of flowers different from all the others you’ve bought her in the past, buy luxury roses in a box that last long after Mother’s Day. These are preserved to stay looking fresh for up to three years, so she can look them day in, day out and be constantly reminded of your love.
The third most popular present to receive is an experience, with ten per cent of mums being happy with this, followed by jewellery (seven per cent) and chocolate (five per cent).
